The Nutcracker
Hey friends! As the countdown to Christmas continues, I wanted to share a special watercolor we painted. We've enjoyed so many classic Christmas books but this one stuck out to us. We just loved the illustrations so much that it was our inspiration for our watercolor project for the week.
I remember as a young girl, my mom took my sister and I to see The Nutcracker ballet. I know I enjoyed myself and thought every part of the performance was breathtaking, but we never read the books after that. Fast forward to adulthood, I appreciate this story so much more. Through the eyes of now being mom, I love seeing the childlike wonder and imagination this story brings.
I know many of you have probably already read through many Christmas stories this year, but i wanted to share these watercolor/coloring sheets with you. Our children had so much fun walking back through the book as they painted.
this version of the nutcracker in particular, we loved. The illustrations and color use is eye catching and drew us right in.
